Each student will receive intensive instruction on confined space rescue that will be based on NFPA; ANSI and beyond OSHA guidelines. Topics including: Focused technical skill work, hands on patient packaging, site command, advanced system rigging, and rescue scenarios. Upon completion of this course each student will graduate with the experience and knowledge of a professional technical rescue team member. Each student will prove performance through skill check off and written testing.
Student fee includes:
- Over 70 hours of combined class room and hands on training
- An instructional manual
- Lunches
- An AERT Petzl Grillion
- A certificate of completion.
Prerequisites will include correspondence with the instructional staff in the weeks prior to attendance of the course. The correspondence session will include reading assignments with quiz’s that will be mandatory for acceptance to the program.
AERT will also request that each student provides their own PPE, helmet with a 4- point chin strap, safety glasses, gloves, and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, students should also plan for any version of inclement weather.
If students have access to class 3 rescue harnesses and personal rope gear, we would encourage their use during training, if not AERT will provide.
